Our Story

How Bamboo Home Support came to be — and where we are headed.

Our Journey

A Story of Compassion and Community

Bamboo Home Support was founded with a clear and heartfelt mission: to provide compassionate, high-quality, person-centred support services to Australians living with disability and older Australians across South Australia.

Our founders understood firsthand the challenges that individuals and families face when navigating the disability and aged care systems. They saw an urgent need for a support organisation that truly puts people first — one that listens, learns and adapts to the unique needs and goals of each person it serves.

From our humble beginnings as a small team of dedicated support workers, Bamboo Home Support has grown into a trusted provider of a wide range of NDIS and aged care services. Our growth has been driven not by ambition alone, but by the very real and growing need for quality, culturally responsive, and inclusive care in our communities.

The name Bamboo reflects our values: bamboo is strong yet flexible, grows rapidly, and is deeply rooted in the community. Like bamboo, we are resilient, adaptable, and committed to growing alongside the people we support.

Today, we are proud to serve participants from diverse cultural backgrounds across the Adelaide metropolitan area and surrounding regions. We continue to be guided by our founding values of compassion, respect, dignity and inclusion — and by the voices of the participants and families we are privileged to support.
